We’ve hashed and re-hashed the state of the market for this year. You know it’s great, it’s horrible, it’s good, it’s bad, it’s rebounding, it’s declining, there’s a bubble, there’s no bubble, the bubble burst, the bubble is slowly deflating, it’s a buyer’s market, it’s a seller’s market, etc., etc., etc., depending on where you are.
The good news is, the forecast for next year is just as clear as this year and you can be just as certain it will come to pass. I found it interesting that on MSNBC they reported that the slump was deepening, and that the worst was over and the market was on the rebound on the same day. When the same news organization reports the exact opposite news on the same day, you can assume they’re clueless about what’s really going on. But then, you already knew that.
So I’m going to let you do what you should have done (probably did do) a long time ago — make up your own mind. Following are the facts (as they appear in four national news stories). You decide.
Well that will give you something to think about as you plan for the new year. I hope you find more clarity that the media are finding. You certainly can’t do any worse than they did. Take a stab at it.
